
‘SAVING TAILS’ Event Honors Diane Warren and Christopher Ameruoso
Hollywood Hills- The Onyx & Breezy Charity Foundation for the Welfare of Animals held a gala fundraising event on April 13th at a private estate in the Hollywood Hills to raise funds for spay and neuter programs, funding of shelters, rescue, foster and sanctuaries, food, medicine, supplies and disaster relief. The celebrity laced event honored Award Winning songwriter Diane Warren and renowned photographer Christopher Ameruoso for their tireless efforts on behalf of animal welfare. A musical performance by American Idol winner Lee DeWyze captivated the VIP crowd while Emmy and Tony Award Winner Ken Howard (and the national spokesperson for The Onyx & Breezy Foundation) auctioned off various art sculptures and a Marilyn Monroe lithograph.
Among the celebrities in attendance were actors Sam Elliot and Katherine Ross, Priscilla Presley, Gold medalist Greg Louganis, businesswoman Tova Borgnine, film directors Christy Oldham and Terrence Flack, actor Neal McDonough and actress Frances Fisher. Ryan Kavanaugh and Britta Lazenga displayed their Lend a Free Hand brand food for dogs which donates proceeds to many rescue organizations and shelters. Other animal charity frontrunners in attendance were Matthew H. Simmons of Lockwood Arc, Farrah E. Smith with Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, Lou Wegner with KAAC and Christienne Metropole with Stray Cat Alliance.
ABOUT THE ONYX & BREEZY FOUNDATION
The Onyx & Breezy Charity Foundation was established in 2004 by Mark and Wanda Shefts to honor the memory of their two beloved Labrador Retrievers. The Shefts’ passion for animals led them to create this non-profit foundation whose goal is to provide a positive impact upon the lives of all animals.
