Concern Foundation Honors Dr. Peter and Rebecca Grossman and Sue and Barry Brucker at the 42nd Annual Block Party

Paramount Pictures Studios, Hollywood- The Concern Foundation for cancer research hosted its Field Of Dreams for a Cancer Free World 42nd annual Block Party yesterday at Paramount Pictures Studios in Hollywood to help raise research funds for methods on treating cancer. Thousands of people filled the backlot of Paramount Pictures Studios to lend their support in helping torpedo the

disease while also enjoying delicious taste offerings from 60 of Los Angeles’ finest restaurants and caterers. Guests also enjoyed wine, beer and specialty drinks, casino style gaming and even a chance to bid on concert tickets for Adele and Barbra Streisand during a live auction.  Concert tickets were donated by Mitch and Madeline Rose and CAA. 

Dr. Peter and Rebecca Grossman were honored for their efforts in eradicating cancer as Humanitarian and Community Leaders and former Beverly Hills Mayor Barry Brucker and his wife Sue Brucker, were honored with the Beth Hersh Goldsmith Conquer Cancer Now Heroes award. The Brucker family has donated $2.7 million to the foundation since 2011 and the award commemorates Beth Hersh Goldsmith, the former executive director of Concern Foundation who passed away last November from cancer. Barry and Sue enjoyed a 40-year friendship with Beth and have been involved with Concern Foundation for 30 years.

Dr. Peter H. Grossman is a board certified plastic surgeon whose medical practice is divided between cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He is the director of the world renowned Grossman Burn Center and President of the Grossman Burn Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Grossman Burn Centers. The Consumer Research Council of America listed him as one of the top surgeons in America.

Rebecca Grossman is CEO of Powerhouse Lux Media, Inc, a multi media publishing and software development company and publisher of Westlake Magazine and West Luxury Magazine-two premier west coast luxury publications. Rebecca is also the Chair of The Grossman Burn Foundation and has developed such programs as their training, treatment and telemedicine initiative and their Stop Violence Against Women Globally campaign. Dr. Peter and Rebecca Grossman live in Hidden Hills California with their two children.

Barry Brucker is the former Mayor of Beverly Hills, a Crisis Response Counselor and Inventor. He holds 11 United States patents and is CEO of an international manufacturer of specialty, digital and security printing inks.

Sue Brucker is an artist and graphic designer and has devoted herself to philanthropy. She holds a black belt in Hapkido Karate and serves on many boards including Concern Foundation, A Place Called Home, the URJ, Camp Newman, and 6 Points Sports Academy. Sue and Barry Brucker are the cornerstones of what it means to be a humanitarian as they have demonstrated their steadfast commitment to public service, community, and service organizations since they were married almost 34 years ago.
