

The 88th Oscar Nominations were announced Thursday by the academy of motion picture arts and sciences in Beverly Hills.

On Thursday in the wee hours of the morning at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater the nominations for the 88th academy awards were announced. Cheryl Boone Isaacs, the president of the academy and actor John Krasinski along with Film Directors Ang Lee and Guillermo del Toro announced the nominees. “The Martian” “Mad Max: Fury Road” were top pics with “The Revenant” receiving 12 nominations with Leonardo DiCaprio nominated for best actor.
