Hollywood, April. 11 (DGC) – Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein were awarded stars on the legendary Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’, and today 80s musical icon Cyndi Lauper did just that. The 62 year old songstress along with Tony Award winning Playwright Harvey Fierstein performed live. Cyndi and Harvey Collaborated on Harvey’s Musical “Kinky Boots,” Cyndi wrote the score for Harvey’s Tony Winner.

Sharon Osbourne, Maris Jaret Winokur and Jerry Mitchell were guest speakers at the event, they all joined Hollywood Chamber President/CEO Leron Gubler to help Cyndi and Harvey unveil their Stars. Both Cyndi & Harvey are advocates for LGBT rights and “Kinky Boots” theme is a showcase for their love of freedom and equality. Cyndi continues her philanthropic work through her foundation, the True Colors Fund. Harvey has worked with numerous LGBT charities, and will be honored this June at the Logo Trailblazer Awards.




“Kinky Boots” had a very Successful run in England and Canada and will open in Australia in the fall. The national tour of “Kinky Boots” returns to the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood from April 13 – April 24, 2016.
