Artists will transform the “cone of shame”, an endearing term used for pets who wear a cone around their necks during recovery from illness or surgery, into artwork for animal charity.

The gala art auction exhibition includes live musical entertainment from riot-pop band, Wasi, indie electronic duo, Mrch, indie pop rockers, DWNTWN, and synth-pop singer, Chela. A runway show featuring Aston Models wearing the wild cone-couture fashion of designer, Bill Rangel, interactive experiences created by Spectacles Improv Engine, pet adoptions, and so much more make this an event not to be missed!

More Than A Cone was created as a platform for artists to show their support for animal causes, and a way for the art world to engage socially with animal caregivers of all kinds”  said Gabe Martinez, Founder of More Than A Cone.

This epic, fun- filled celebration is made possible with the generous support of VCA, Henry Schein Animal Health, KONG, and KVP International.

More Than A Cone

About MTAC:

More Than A Cone is a nonprofit 501c3 awareness campaign focused on the animal causes of adoption, wellness, and recovery. We invite artists worldwide to transform the “cone of shame” for animal charity. Proceeds from the sales of artwork go to local and national animal rescue groups. We approach animal advocacy through the arts with the aim of finding common ground among diverse communities. Though our main goal is to support the no-kill movement, we hope to underscore the important role the arts play in spotlighting complex issues. The “cone of shame” symbolizes animals at the mercy of our society, but the act of transforming it into art suggests we can do better for them.
