Distinguished guests enjoyed nibbling on delicious healthy appetizers while learning more about these extraordinary aesthetics and multiple beauty services offered by The Image Center that emphasize preventative measures, nutritional coaching and advanced wellness tests to jump start a healthy lifestyle. About Dr. Katherine Ahn
Dr. Ahn’s artistic abilities and attention to detail allow her to deliver a delicate balance of beauty and function. Dr. Ahn majored in Human Biology at La Sierra/Loma Linda University with the intention of becoming a dentist where her artistic talents can be applied to her love of science and desire to help people. In 1989, after completing 3 years of undergraduate education, she began her dental studies at UCLA School of Dentistry. During the first week of dental school, she received a perfect score on her first tooth carving exam, surprising her classmates and instructors.
Throughout dental school she received many EPRs (exceptional performance reports given to
students that perform in the top 5~10% of the class) on her clinical exams. After graduating from UCLA Dental School in 1993, she chose to complete an elective 2-year Pediatric Dental Residency at UCLA. She believed that this would allow her to provide optimal dental care to her young patients while helping her acquire a deeper understanding of the growth and development of the face.
Today Dr. Ahn continues to stay at the forefront of technology and offers the latest advancements in general, cosmetic, & biocompatible dentistry and orthodontic, implant, TMJ, and Dental Sleep Apnea Therapies. About The Image Center
In 1999, Dr. Peter Newen & Dr. Katherine Ahn embarked on journey to build their own medical practices that would allow them to practice in an environment that reflects their practice philosophy and innovative spirits. They finally settled on an empty lot located on Center Avenue in Huntington Beach that is central to their Orange County and Los Angeles patient base. After several plan revisions & many visits to the city, they finally broke ground in preparation for construction in December 2000. On July 20, 2003 a Grand Opening celebration was held on site with approximately 300 guests in attendance.
The building was named “The Image Center” because it summarized the focus of the services being provided by the four businesses within the center. In addition to the plastic surgery and dental offices, a day spa was built to compliment the services that plastic surgery and cosmetic dentistry provided.
A surgery center was included in The Image Center to allow for ease of scheduling surgery patients for Dr. Newen’s busy surgery practice, and to ensure that his patients received the best care in a state-of-the-art licensed and accredited surgery facility.
All during planning, designing, and constructing, the goal of meeting the patient’s needs was foremost in their mind. Special attention was given to patient/client comfort & privacy. State-of-the-art sterilization equipment, operating lights and tables, patient monitors and emergency equipment were selected for Huntington Surgery Center. The best imaging software was acquired for Image Plastic Surgery Center. 
The most comprehensive sterilization unit, low-radiation digital x-ray system, early diagnosis caries detection laser, and the most comfortable dental operatory chairs were purchased for Impression Dental Care. Relaxing waterfalls, a luxurious Vichy shower room, and exclusive high end products were selected to delightfully spoil the clients at the in-house Spa.
Today we continue to stay on the forefront of technology and develop innovative techniques and services to offer our clients the best in beauty and wellness.
