We all know Rihanna is a fierce singer who was influenced by the beats of Caribbean music. Her fashion and style are straight savage. She has a bad-ass stage presence and brings that amazing Barbados island energy to her work. Rihanna’s music is how you keep the cook-out or the club jumping. So when I heard that she had just dropped a new beauty and lingerie line, I was definitely interested. I watched her show on Amazon that showcased the line and loved the behind-the-scenes process that she revealed. And yes, it was fierce.
Rihanna’s Inspiration
Rihanna was inspired to create Fenty Beauty after years of experimenting with the best-of-the-best in beauty products. And I know she has tried a lot of products since she is always performing! Her inspiration went even further to include all skin shades. She wanted to make a line that performed across all skin types and tones that we ladies (and guys) have. Cool, so she launched a makeup line “so that people everywhere would be included,” she said, focusing on a wide range of traditionally hard-to-match skin tones, creating formulas that work for all skin types, and pinpointing universal shades.
My Product Review
The Liquid Eyeliner. I’m going straight to it! If you can get the liquid eyeliner on point then you have my attention. And yes, this eyeliner is great…doesn’t smear, doesn’t run… stays all day and night without a touch up. Very smooth. I like my liner to be effortless and I do not like to re-apply so this eyeliner passes the test. I also love it because it really makes my eyes stand out when I wear my mask and/or getting my protest on.
The Gloss. My lip gloss is very important to me. The main things I want when I get a gloss is for it to not be sticky, taste good and stay on my lips without having to re-apply as much. And of course to make my lips fierce. This gloss does all of that. It’s expensive though. But, well worth it.
The Foundation. First of all, it comes in 50 shades. The color range is wide. It has a neutral, cool and warm dynamic so it is a good fit for almost everyone. I was not worried about this foundation because I have heard everyone giving it great reviews. And, it did not disappoint! It is a true match to my skin tone, is very light weight and not too heavy on my skin. Flawless. It does not make me sweat and I am just amazed that it matches my skin tone so well. It’s a really great product. My shade is #450. The hype is real.

Fenty Beauty products are designed to feel lightweight, even as they deliver buildable coverage that effortlessly layers, to ultimately “make skin look like skin.” Most importantly, Rihanna creates makeup to inspire: “Makeup is there for you to have fun with,” she says. “It should never feel like pressure. It should never feel like a uniform. Feel free to take chances, and take risks, and dare to do something new or different.” Yeah, this line is savage and I can’t wait to give reviews on her other products. More to come!
