Ironman Winners Victor Del Corral & Tine Deckers Claim Victory! For the 10th year in a row, hundreds of athletes flooded the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, France to compete in IRONMAN. The course on the French Riviera has become one of the favorite stops for participants from around the world. For many, simply finishing the grueling race is a giant victory.
The race begins with a 2.4 mile swim, followed by a 112-mile bicycle race and ends with a full marathon. The men’s winner this year, Victor Del Corral for Spain, finished the course in 8 hours 30 minutes.
On the women’s side, Belgian Tine Deckers won her 5th title with a time of 9 hours, 22 minutes, 4 seconds. During the race, other athletes competed in IRONKIDS and Iron Girl contests.
