Los Angeles-“Generations” is a refreshing new book by writer Angela Couloumbis Dawson that is a semi-autobiographical novel spanning three generations of her heritage growing up in a Greek-American family. “And with a touch of Fantasy”, Dawson cheerfully adds. “Generations” is a thought-provoking read that is hard to put down. Now available on amazon, Dawson showcases the interesting lives of her Greek-American Family in a narrative that is beautiful and sometimes tragic.

Angela’s grandmother Sandra immigrated to the U.S. from Greece as a teenager in 1935 in an arranged marriage to a man nearly 20 years her senior. Her mother Krystal was abandoned by her husband and left to raise their two-year-old daughter alone. Angela, baptized in the Greek Orthodox faith, is placed in a Catholic boarding school at age five and encounters a mysterious spirit in the dormitory attic.
Blending emotional reminiscences of adaptation and survival relayed to her by her mother and grandmother, Angela contributes her own touching and humorous recollections of growing up in a 1960s convent school.
