Longines Masters of Los Angeles
Presented by Christophe Ameeuw, founder and CEO of EEM and sponsored by Longines, The Hollywood Reporter and Gucci, this year’s competition took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, where guests experienced exceptional and exhilarating show jumping competitions. The Longines Masters of Los Angeles brought together over 30,000 spectators for four unforgettable days of top-level equestrian sport, heart-pounding emotion, and an unparalleled class of entertainment and glamour. Longines clocks and watches were exhibited eloquently in glowing glass cases adjacent to the equestrian competitions, while Opera Gallery paintings and Gucci accessories were hung close by.
Celebrities in attendance included Bruce Springsteen, Costume designer Janie Bryant, Destry Allyn Spielberg, photographer Joyce Chow, filmmaker Christy Oldham, Jennifer Gates, Georgina Bloomberg, and Eve Jobs.
EEM’s passion is bringing equestrian show jumping to the forefront of the International sporting scene. They have showcased jumping in Brussels, Paris, Hong Kong and Los Angeles. The inaugural American leg of the Series was held in Los Angeles, September 25th to 28th, 2014, combining the spectacular sporting action of elite show jumping with the very best lifestyle entertainment.
Recognized by both the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) and the U.S. Equestrian Federation (USEF) as a CSI 5* event, the American leg of the Longines Masters established Los Angeles as a prominent location for the international equestrian scene, a first since the 1984 LA Olympic Games. This year, 30 of the best riders in the world and the top US Show athletes, competed for a total prize money of $1 million USD.
