It seems like everyone is rocking a tracksuit in their quarantine selfies or cooking videos these days. One of my internet friends decided to channel the 80’s hip hop band RUN DMC while she baked a batch of dog treats for her neighborhood dog owner friends. Tracksuits are the perfect outfit for doing everything in a quarantine.

Usually, I’m more of a t-shirt and yoga pants around-the-house kind of girl. But after 6 months of quarantine, I  needed some steezy (style with ease) in my life! So, me and my girlfriends created Steezy Saturdays. We meet on zoom and show each other our OOTD (outfit of the day) which consists of accessorizing various tracksuits as a full look.

The refreshed RUN DMC look

My personal style favorite is the colorful zip-up velour tracksuits that hug my waist. They remind me of that iconic 80’s soap opera Falcon Crest. The majority of my interconnections comes from work-from-home zoom calls so I bought a few in different colors and styles. They look casual-chic on camera and are most definitely steezy comfortable. Now I feel like I have a pep in my step that was missing before. I’m so happy to be out of my tired-ass yoga pants. I totally feel like I have more energy, like a fierce boss and that’s what I wanted. When I do go out, it’s just for a brief two-person outdoor dining experience – usually for a Vitamin C smoothie or coffee.  I wear black heels to UP my steezy game. The result? My velour tracksuit flows with ease from indoor to outdoor. When I get home, I just swap out my heels for my cozy Disco UGG slippers.

Tracksuits have versatility and that’s why they are the perfect quarantine style. Since there’s still a capacity limit on parties and gatherings, I’m just kickin’ it at home like most of everyone else, trying to keep busy and staying mentally strong and healthy. When I look good, I feel good. So, dress how you want to dress, listen to the music that you like, give a fuck by voting and express yourself in your own unique way. If you want to pick up one of these comfy tracksuits for yourself to ride out the quarantine, I did the hard work for you. Scroll through the looks below and click the images to get some steezy in your life! Peace!
