Cannabis Community Honors MONTEL WILLIAMS for Medical Cannabis Advocacy

Former Marine, Emmy Award-winning TV personality, radio talk show host and actor, Montel Williams  has used cannabis products to effectively manage his symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) since his diagnosis with the disease in 1999.

Williams has been instrumental in helping build awareness for the benefits of medical marijuana for treatment of chronic illnesses for almost two decades and received a  Lifetime Achievement Award at the signature CannaCool Lounge event at Casa Vertigo in downtown Los Angeles on February 9th, 2017.

Hosted by NFL Super Bowl champ Marvin Washington and presented by Women Abuv Ground (WAG), The CannaCool Lounge is a distinguished, upscale celebrity-driven event, giving cannabis connoisseurs an opportunity to enjoy the various offerings of the healing herb. Many celebrities and cannabis professionals were in attendance to support Montel and to explore products from new brands as leading authorities in the cannabis-infused sectors of health, lifestyle, beauty and food.  Guests enjoyed cannabis-infused edibles and drinks, as well as live entertainment and a Canna-Catwalk fashion show, presented by Fusion Event Designs.

Every hour, someone in the world is diagnosed with MS, a life-threatening chronic disease that attacks the nervous system. Other celebrities who have been diagnosed with MS include Jack Osbourne, Walter Williams, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Ann Romney, Teri Garr and the iconic comedian Richard Pryor.

Chef Andrea Drummond of Elevation VIP and Chef  Millie Fernandez aka Rock StarChefz showcase innovative menus, infusing flavorful foods with cannabis, and offering attendees an enjoyable and delicious cuisine experience. Cannabis lovers enjoyed handcrafted, infused edibles by the award-winning brand, incredibles, founded by Bob Eschino. Plus, the CannaCool Lounge featured signature drinks by Dama Tequila as well as a wine bar, hosted by Know Label Wine, founded by Grammy winner Melissa Etheridge. A CannaCatwalk runway show, presented by Fusion Event Designs topped the exciting evening of delicious beguilement off!
